BROWNIES (WITH CARROT AND SPINACH)

Brownies (With Carrot and Spinach) image

Created by Jessica Seinfeld From the book Deceptively Delicious These brownies fool everyone! You won't believe how scrumptious they are (or how good they are for you) until you make them yourself. Just don't serve them warm-it's not until they're completely cool that the spinach flavor totally disappears.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the taste of your brownies.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the brownies tough.
  • Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached. Overbaking will make the brownies dry.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help them hold their shape.
  • Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the brownies for up to 2 months.
  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate instead of semisweet chocolate.
  • Add a handful of chopped nuts or dried fruit to the batter for a crunchy texture.
  • Swirl some peanut butter or Nutella into the batter for a marbled effect.
  • Top the brownies with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream for a decadent dessert.
