1 medium shallot, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1 pound chopped frozen spinach, thawed
One 15-ounce can quartered artichoke hearts, drained
6 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1 cup shredded mozzarella
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons grated Parmesan

Add the spinach and artichokes and cook, stirring, until hot, about 3 minutes. Add the cream cheese and cook, stirring, until melted. Stir in the mozzarella and season with salt and pepper.
  • Spoon the mixture into the bread bowl, mounding it slightly if necessary, and sprinkle with the Parmesan. Place the bread and the top side by side on a baking sheet and bake until the bread is hot and crusty and the top of the spinach dip is lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Transfer the bread bowl to a serving platter. Tear the top of the bread into chunks and serve alongside the dip with crudites for dipping.

WARM SPINACH DIP IN A BREAD BOWL

Warm Spinach Dip in a Bread Bowl image

This recipe is Yum-Yum! I don't like spinach, but love this recipe. I found it in our local paper. I made it for New Year's Eve and it was ate before anything else! I used Green Giant creamed spinach, as I couldn't find the Stouffer's and I left out the green onions just as a personal preference. You can use any type of round bread. I used Hawaiian bread, again just a personal selection. You can use round rye or sourdough, etc. Try it and you will see just how delicious this is! (Recipe by Nestle USA.)

SPINACH DIP- BREAD BOWL

Spinach Dip- Bread Bowl image

I found this on allrecipes a few years ago. It is awesome!

Provided by Amanda Michelle

Categories     Other Appetizers

Time 6h15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c mayonnaise
1 large container of sour cream (16oz)
1 pkg knorr's dry leek soup mix (1.8oz)
1 can(s) water chestnuts (4oz), drained and chopped
1/2 (10oz) package of frozen spinach, cooked and drained well
1 kings hawaiian bread bowl or sour dough bowl

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients except bread bowl. Refrigerate for 6 hours or overnight. (I have chilled for 30 min and it was still delicious!)
  • 2. Remove top off bread bowl and hallow out enough that you can pour the dip inside. Use the bread you removed for dipping. Enjoy!!

Tips:

  • Use fresh spinach: Fresh spinach has a more vibrant flavor and color than frozen spinach. If you're using frozen spinach, be sure to thaw it and squeeze out any excess water before using.
  • Don't overcook the spinach: Overcooked spinach will become limp and lose its flavor. Cook it just until it is wilted, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Use a good quality bread bowl: A sturdy bread bowl will hold up well to being filled with dip. Look for a bread bowl that is at least 6 inches in diameter and has a thick crust.
  • Make the dip ahead of time: The dip can be made up to 2 days ahead of time. Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  • Serve the dip warm: Warm dip is more flavorful and easier to spread. To warm the dip, place it in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it on high for 30 seconds to 1 minute, or until it is heated through.

Conclusion:

Spinach dip bread bowl is a delicious and easy appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It's a great way to use up leftover spinach, and it's always a hit with guests. With its creamy, cheesy filling and crispy bread bowl, this dip is sure to be a favorite. So next time you're looking for a tasty and satisfying appetizer, give spinach dip bread bowl a try. You won't be disappointed!
