Steps:
- 1. Sift the dry ingredients together.
- 2. Combine the liquids.
- 3. Blend all together with electric mixer until well blended.
- 4. Bake 325 degrees in a loaf pan for 1 1/2 hr.
- 5. Mix well the butter, oleo and honey. Store in the frig.
- 6. Serve bread slices with the butter spread.
Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients. The fresher the ingredients, the better the bread will taste. Try to use local and organic ingredients whenever possible.
- Proof the yeast correctly. Proofing the yeast is an important step that helps to ensure that the bread will rise properly. Make sure to follow the instructions in the recipe carefully.
- Knead the dough properly. Kneading the dough helps to develop the gluten in the flour, which gives the bread its structure and texture. Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place. A warm place will help the dough to rise quickly and evenly. You can place the dough in a warm oven or in a sunny spot.
- Bake the bread in a preheated oven. A preheated oven will help to create a crispy crust and a fluffy interior.
- Let the bread cool before slicing. Letting the bread cool before slicing will help to prevent it from crumbling.
Conclusion:
Squaw bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed in many different ways. It can be served plain, toasted, or used to make sandwiches, wraps, and other dishes. Squaw bread is also a popular choice for making French toast and bread pudding. No matter how you choose to enjoy it, squaw bread is sure to be a hit!
