MOCK OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE GREEN BEANS
This is the 2nd recipe posted but...more ingredients and silvered almonds as topping are optional. What is nice about this recipe, you can cook beans, drain. and cool. Right before serving, make the cooked dressing, heat the cooked beans and toss with the dressing. The brown sugar, soy sauce and garlic powder make the dressing "pop" and perfect with steak & fish or shellfish.

STEAKHOUSE GREEN BEANS
Although we live in South Carolina, and my husband grew up here, he does not like green beans cooked, Southern Style. I tried this, on a whim, to see if we could add green beans to our diet. He loves them! I carried these to a family reunion last week, doing a 9 x 13 dish--everyone loved them. Simple, "saute'd" green beans,...

Steps:
- 1. Use the fresh green beans, whole bean, in a microwave, steam and serve bag, cook as directed on the bag. Do not overcook! Pour in glass dish, with lid (ie-Pampered chef, etc)
- 2. Slice butter in small pieces; sprinkle over cooked green beans. Using Steakhouse Season grinder, give several "twists" over beans--to taste. Easy to add...hard to remove.
- 3. Place lid on dish, and shake for a few seconds. Butter should be melted, and seasoning distributed evenly over beans. Serve! These reheat well, also.

Steps:
- Steam green beans in either a steamer or your microwave until they are just done, you want them still firm. In my microwave it takes about 2 minutes to steam up the green beans, while the green beans are steaming, begin your seasoned butter sauce. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat add 4 tablespoons butter, 1/2 teaspoon Maggi seasoning, brown sugar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the brown sugar is completely dissolved. When the green beans are done, place in a bowl. Add about half of the butter mixture, in the bowl, and add the fresh steamed greens in the bowl. Stir the green beans until they are coated with the butter seasoning
Tips:
- Choose fresh, tender green beans: Look for beans that are bright green in color and have no blemishes or bruises.
- Trim the green beans: Cut off the ends of the beans where the stems were attached.
- Blanch the green beans: This process helps to preserve the color and crispness of the beans. To blanch the beans, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until they are bright green and tender. Drain the beans immediately and rinse them with cold water.
- Sauté the green beans: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the olive oil and the garlic and sauté for 1 minute, or until the garlic is fragrant. Add the green beans and cook, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until they are heated through.
- Season the green beans: Add the salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings to the green beans. Stir to combine.
- Serve the green beans: Serve the green beans immediately as a side dish.
Conclusion:
Steakhouse green beans are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. By following the tips above, you can make sure that your green beans are perfectly cooked and seasoned. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy side dish, give steakhouse green beans a try.
