Tips:

  • For a truly decadent treat, use high-quality marzipan. Look for marzipan that is made with at least 50% almonds.
  • If you don't have a food processor, you can grate the marzipan on a fine grater.
  • Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the bars tough.
  • If the dough is too sticky, add more flour, one tablespoon at a time, until it is no longer sticky.
  • The bars can be baked in a 9x13 inch pan or a 10x15 inch pan. If you use a 10x15 inch pan, the bars will be thinner and crispier.
  • The bars are done baking when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the bars cool completely before cutting them into squares.

Conclusion:

Strawberry Jam Marzipan Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are made with a simple shortbread crust, a layer of sweet strawberry jam, and a topping of grated marzipan. The bars are then baked until golden brown and gooey. Strawberry Jam Marzipan Bars are a perfect balance of sweet and tart, and they are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
