SUMMER SAVORY BRUSCHETTA TOPPING
My own recipe, a summertime tradition with all home-grown ingredients. No onions, but uses a couple of herbs not found in a traditional bruschetta. Dicing the tomatoes is the time-consuming part. It is a major hit with friends and family! Serve on toasted Tuscan bread slices or crackers.

SAVORY BRUSCHETTA
This is one of my family's favorite things that I make. Sage,Thyme, Onions,Tomatoes and Swiss cheese make this a very savory and tasty appetizer. It's very simple and can be tweaked with other additions if you like. I try to buy a few baguettes at a time so I can slice them all up and place them in zip lock baggies and freeze. Then whenever I have tomatoes onions and cheese on hand, I can take out the bread, defrost, and put this quick appetizer together in a matter of minutes.

Tips:
- Choose ripe, flavorful tomatoes: The quality of your tomatoes will make a big difference in the flavor of your bruschetta. Look for tomatoes that are deep red and have a slight give when you press them gently.
- Use fresh herbs: Fresh herbs add a burst of flavor to bruschetta. Basil, oregano, and thyme are all good choices.
- Don't overcrowd the bread: When assembling your bruschetta, don't pile on too many toppings. You want each bite to have a good balance of flavors.
- Serve immediately: Bruschetta is best enjoyed fresh. Once the bread is toasted, top it with your favorite toppings and serve immediately.
