1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon pepper

6 -7 pieces bacon, cut into small pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
2 (5 ounce) cans baby clams, with juice reserved
6 -7 potatoes, cubed
2 (10 1/2 ounce) cans cream of celery soup
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter
1 teaspoon dried dill weed

Steps:

  • Add bacon to sauce pan and cook on medium low heat until crispy.
  • Add onion and cook until translucent.
  • Add clam juice from both cans.

  • Cook and cover until potatoes are fork tender, about 15-20 minutes.

½ pound bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
5 unpeeled potatoes, diced
2 carrots, diced
salt and pepper to taste
2 (6.5 ounce) cans chopped clams with juice
2 (1.8 ounce) packages dry leek soup mix
1 quart half-and-half

Steps:

  • Place the bacon in a large pot and cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until crisped and browned, about 10 minutes. Remove the bacon with a slotted spoon, leaving the drippings in the pot. Set the bacon aside. Stir the potatoes and carrots into the bacon fat.
