3 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
4 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/2 cup butter, cubed
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 cans (12 ounces each) evaporated milk
2-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
1/2 cup crushed cornbread-flavored crackers (about 6 crackers)

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions, adding broccoli during the last 3-4 minutes; drain. , In a large saucepan, melt butter. 1 small red bell pepper, coarsely chopped (about 1 cup)
1 (24 ounce) bag frozen cut broccoli in cheese sauce (Green Giant frozen broccoli and three cheese sauce)
2 cups cooked boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed
1/4 cup nonfat milk
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more)
1/3 cup plain breadcrumbs
3 tablespoons parmesan cheese, shredded
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cups whole milk
1 cup chicken or vegetable broth
1/4 cup half-and-half
2 1/2 cups grated sharp Cheddar

1/2 cup breadcrumbs
