SPICY THAI PEANUT SAUCE

Spicy Thai Peanut Sauce image

This peanut sauce is very flavorful, with lemon, ginger, and quite a bit of heat. It's good with satays, stir-frys, rice bowls, or good as a dip. Don't be afraid to add more or less of the spices, just add to taste! Store in the fridge up to one week.

Tips:

  • For a creamier sauce, use full-fat coconut milk. For a lighter sauce, use lite coconut milk or a mixture of coconut milk and water.
  • If you don't have creamy peanut butter, you can use regular peanut butter and add a little coconut milk or water to thin it out.
  • To make a spicier sauce, add more Sriracha or red pepper flakes. For a milder sauce, omit the Sriracha or red pepper flakes.
  • To make a sweeter sauce, add more brown sugar or honey. For a less sweet sauce, reduce the amount of brown sugar or honey.
  • If you want a chunkier sauce, chop the peanuts before adding them to the blender.
  • For a smoother sauce, blend the sauce until it is completely smooth. If you like a little texture, you can leave some small chunks of peanuts.
  • Serve the sauce immediately, or store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Thai peanut sauce is a versatile sauce that can be used with a variety of dishes. It is perfect for dipping chicken, shrimp, vegetables, or spring rolls. It can also be used as a marinade, a stir-fry sauce, or a salad dressing. No matter how you use it, Thai peanut sauce is sure to add a delicious and flavorful touch to your meal.
