The fresh flavor and crunchy texture of garden vegetables star in this tart colorful coleslaw. Lightly dressed with vinegar and oil, it's a refreshing summer salad. My mom fixed it often when I was growing up...and it continues to be requested often. - Pat Cole Polebridge, Montana

SWEET-AND-SOUR CELERY (SEPHARDIC PASSOVER APIO)
This Turkish Passover dish is from this month's "Gourmet Magazine" (April 2009). As the celery cooks, it soaks up the braising liquid and becomes silky. Cooks' note: Celery can be braised 1 day ahead and chilled. Reheat over low heat, adding more water if necessary, or reheat in a microwave. Add celery leaves and parsley before serving.

CROCK POT SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN
I couldn't find a recipe that called for ingredients that I had in the house so made up this recipe and it turned out, I think, good enough to post, It is an easy straight forward recipe that takes very little effort to put together. If you want it spicier just add some chili flakes or an extra Jalapeno pepper.. The Jalapeno I have in the recipe just gives some flavor not heat. You may substitute a can of pineapple chunks for the fresh. Mushrooms may be whole or sliced
