Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: This will ensure that your cookies turn out delicious and flavorful. Look for butter that is at least 82% butterfat, and use large eggs that are fresh.
  • Chill the dough before baking: This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much. You can chill the dough for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix the dough just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Use a cookie scoop to portion the dough: This will help ensure that all of the cookies are the same size and shape. You can use a 1-tablespoon or 2-tablespoon scoop, depending on how large you want the cookies to be.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature: This will help them brown and develop a crispy exterior. Bake the cookies at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack: This will help them cool evenly and prevent them from becoming soggy.

Conclusion:

These butterscotch chip cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are soft and chewy, with a buttery flavor and plenty of butterscotch chips. If you are looking for a classic cookie recipe that everyone will love, these butterscotch chip cookies are the perfect choice.
