SWISS BREAD

This is really, really excellent, but like everything that is excellent it is extremely bad for you. I think you can actually hear your arteries clogging, but it is soooo worth it!!!! I save this for once, maybe twice a year. Please note that I am saying 12 slices of cheese, but the more cuts you make, the more cheese you can use. This stuff is heavenly--I hope you enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use a good quality bread that is slightly stale. This will help the bread to absorb the egg mixture and create a crispy crust.
  • Use a variety of cheeses to create a flavorful filling. Swiss cheese is a classic choice, but you can also use cheddar, mozzarella, or Parmesan.
  • Add some herbs or spices to the egg mixture for extra flavor. Garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika are all good options.
  • Be sure to preheat the oven before baking the bread. This will help to ensure that the bread cooks evenly.
  • Bake the bread until it is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly. This usually takes about 20-25 minutes.

Conclusion:

Swiss cheese French bread is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. It is perfect for parties or potlucks, and it can also be served as a side dish with soup or salad.
