1 1/4 lbs boneless sirloin steaks (1-inch thick)

1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoon molasses

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine oil, garlic, worcestershire, onion powder, salt & pepper.
  • Cut steak into four wide strips. Pierce meat & place into a marinating container, pour mixture overtop & coat well. Cover & refrigerate 2 - 3 hrs (or overnight), turning container once or twice.
  • Drain & discard marinade (or heat well to make into gravy).
  • Wrap a bacon strip around each steak piece; secure with a toothpick.
  • Sprinkle with lemon-pepper.
  • Grill steak, covered, over medium-low heat for 10 - 15 mins, turning occasionally, until meat reaches desired doneness.
  • Combine the glaze ingredients; brush over steaks. Grill until glaze is heated; discard toothpicks.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Sirloin is a good choice for this recipe because it's a relatively tender cut of meat that's also affordable. Other good options include flank steak, skirt steak, or hanger steak.
  • Slice the steak against the grain: This will help to make the steak more tender. To do this, simply cut the steak perpendicular to the lines of muscle fibers.
  • Marinate the steak: Marinating the steak in a flavorful mixture of soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and spices will help to tenderize the meat and add flavor.
  • Cook the steak over high heat: This will help to create a nice sear on the outside of the steak while keeping the inside cooked to your desired doneness.
  • Let the steak rest before slicing: This will help to keep the juices in the steak and prevent it from drying out.

Conclusion:

This recipe is a quick and easy way to make a delicious and flavorful sirloin steak dinner. The tangy marinade and the high heat cooking method combine to create a steak that is tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Serve with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad.
