Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Yukon Gold potatoes are the best choice for this bread, as they are floury and have a high starch content, which makes them ideal for baking.
  • Cook the potatoes correctly: Be sure to cook the potatoes until they are very soft, as this will make them easier to mash and incorporate into the bread dough.
  • Use fresh herbs: Fresh tarragon and chives are essential for this bread, as they add a bright, herbaceous flavor. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but be sure to use only half the amount.
  • Don't overmix the dough: The dough should be mixed just until it comes together. Overmixing will develop the gluten in the flour, which will make the bread tough.
  • Let the bread rise in a warm place: The dough should rise in a warm place until it has doubled in size. This will take about 1 hour.
  • Bake the bread until it is golden brown: The bread should be baked at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 30-35 minutes, or until it is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.

Conclusion:

Tarragon chive potato bread is a delicious and easy-to-make bread that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover potatoes, and it is also a good source of fiber and vitamins. The bread is soft and fluffy, with a slightly crispy crust. The tarragon and chives add a bright, herbaceous flavor that makes this bread unique and special. Whether you are serving it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, tarragon chive potato bread is sure to be a hit.
