Number Of Ingredients 11

1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
1-1/2 cups warm water (110° to 115°)
1/2 cup warm milk (110° to 115°)
3 tablespoons butter, softened
3 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
5-1/4 to 5-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
12 raisins
1 egg
1 tablespoon cold water
Ribbon, optional

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the milk, butter, sugar, salt and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. 1 egg
1 teaspoon salt

1 cup butter, softened
