Select a high-quality Japanese Soy Sauce, such as Kikka man Soy Sauce, for an Authentic and umami-rich result. - Rice vinegar: Incorporate rice vinegar not only for acidity but also for its natural sweetness, contributing to the balance of the flavors. - Garlic and Ginger: These aromatic ingredients are often added to enhance the teriyaki dipping with a hint of spice and a vibrant aroma. Ensure that they are finely minced or grated for an even distribution of flavors. - Honey or Brown sugar: These sugar components lend sweetness to offset the saltiness and add a glossy texture. Brown sugar, with its caramel undertones, imparts a more pronounced sweetness compared to Honey. - Sesame oil: Adding a touch of sesame oil at the end adds a nutty dimension and richness to the teriyaki dipping. This ingredient is particularly common in Chinese and Southeast cuisines. - Corn Starch or Arrowroot powder: For a thicker, more viscous dipping, consider using corn starch or arrowroot powder as these ingredients can create a satiny, glaze-like texture when mixed with the liquid contents of the recipe.
