Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: Opt for semisweet or bittersweet chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70% for a rich chocolate flavor. Use real butter for a more decadent taste and texture.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing can result in tough brownies. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached: Overbaking will result in dry brownies.
  • Use a water bath to prevent the brownies from drying out: Place the brownie pan inside a larger pan filled with hot water before baking.
  • Let the brownies cool completely before frosting: This will help the frosting set properly.
  • Use a variety of toppings: In addition to the traditional chocolate ganache frosting, try topping your brownies with whipped cream, fresh fruit, nuts, or caramel sauce.
