This recipe can be prepared in 45 minutes or less.

Yield Makes about 200 pita thins

Number Of Ingredients 2

sixteen 4-inch pita loaves
2/3 cup olive oil

Steps:

  • Halve the pita loaves horizontally, forming 32 rounds, and brush the rough side of each round lightly with some of the oil. Cut each round into long thin triangular strips with scissors, bake the strips in one layer in jelly-roll pans in the lower third of a preheated 400°F. oven for 6 to 10 minutes, or until they are golden, and let them cool. The pita thins may be made 1 week in advance and kept in an airtight container.

Tips:

  • Use high heat: You want the pita bread to get crispy and golden brown, so make sure to preheat your oven or skillet to a high temperature before cooking.
  • Brush with oil or butter: This will help the pita bread to get crispy and prevent it from drying out.
  • Use your favorite seasonings: Add some flavor to your pita triangles by sprinkling them with spices, herbs, or grated cheese before baking or frying.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce: Pita triangles are the perfect vessel for dipping, so serve them with your favorite sauce, such as hummus, tzatziki, or olive oil.
