Number Of Ingredients 9

2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 (10-ounce) package Skor English toffee bits (English toffee bits)

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. In a large mixer bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla until well blended. Add eggs and blend thoroughly. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Stir in toffee bits. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet (I used ungreased parchment paper). Bake 9-11 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool slightly, remove from the cookie sheet to a wire rack. Cool completely

Tips:

  • Before beginning the recipe, ensure your oven is preheated to the temperature specified in the recipe. This helps ensure the cookies are baked evenly and consistently.
  • Use room temperature ingredients whenever possible, as they blend more easily and produce a smoother batter. If you don't have time to bring your ingredients to room temperature naturally, you can warm them up quickly by placing them in a bowl of warm water for a few minutes.
  • Don't overmix the dough, as this can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined, and then stop.
  • Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much in the oven.
  • Bake the cookies until they are golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before enjoying them. This helps the cookies set and prevents them from becoming too soft.

Conclusion:

These toffee bits cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With their chewy texture, buttery flavor, and crunchy toffee bits, these cookies are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give these toffee bits cookies a try! You won't be disappointed.
