Tips:
- Choose the right tortilla: For the best results, use a soft and pliable tortilla that can be easily rolled up without cracking. Corn tortillas or flour tortillas are both good options.
- Use quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the flavor of your tortilla roll-ups. Use fresh, flavorful sausage, vegetables, and cheese.
- Cook the sausage thoroughly: To ensure food safety and optimal flavor, cook the sausage until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Don't overstuff the tortillas: Be careful not to overstuff the tortillas, as this will make them difficult to roll up and may cause the filling to spill out.
- Roll the tortillas tightly: To prevent the roll-ups from falling apart, roll them up tightly. You can secure them with toothpicks or skewers if desired.
- Serve immediately or chill: Tortilla roll-ups can be served immediately or chilled for later. If chilling, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days.
- Garnish before serving: Before serving, garnish the tortilla roll-ups with chopped fresh herbs, grated cheese, or a drizzle of your favorite sauce.
