Tips:

  • Utilize in-season fruits: Take advantage of the natural sweetness and affordability of fruits when they're in season. This not only enhances the taste of your freeze but also supports local farmers.
  • Properly prepare your fruit: Before freezing, wash and cut your fruits into uniform sizes. This ensures even freezing and prevents large chunks from dominating the texture.
  • Choose the right containers: Opt for airtight containers or freezer-safe bags to maintain the freshness and prevent freezer burn. Leave some headspace to allow for expansion during freezing.
  • Freeze in portions: Divide your freeze into individual portions or smaller containers. This makes it easier to grab what you need without thawing the entire batch.
  • Label and date your containers: Clearly label each container with the contents and date of freezing. This helps you keep track of what's inside and ensures you use the oldest portions first.
