1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground turkey
8 ounces bulk Mexican chorizo sausage

2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander
2 teaspoons dried oregano

Tips:

  • Soak the beans overnight: This will help to soften them and reduce the cooking time.
  • Use a variety of beans: In addition to cannellini beans, you can also use black beans, kidney beans, or pinto beans. This will add variety to the chili and make it more flavorful.
  • Don't overcrowd the pot: When you're browning the ground turkey, don't overcrowd the pot. This will cause the meat to steam instead of brown.
  • Use a good quality chili powder: The chili powder is one of the most important ingredients in the chili, so make sure you use a good quality one. Look for a chili powder that is made with a variety of chili peppers and has a rich, smoky flavor.
  • Add some heat: If you like spicy chili, add some cayenne pepper or jalapeño peppers to the pot. You can also add some chopped chipotle peppers in adobo sauce for a smoky, spicy flavor.
  • Simmer the chili for at least 30 minutes: This will allow the flavors to meld and develop. The longer you simmer the chili, the better it will taste.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings: Serve the chili with your favorite toppings, such as shredded cheese, sour cream, diced avocado, or chopped cilantro.

Conclusion:

Turkey and cannellini bean chili is a delicious and hearty meal that is perfect for a cold winter day. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal, give this turkey and cannellini bean chili a try. You won't be disappointed!
