BREAD MACHINE SWEDISH COFFEE BREAD

Bread Machine Swedish Coffee Bread image

This is a delicious Swedish coffee bread recipe converted for use with a bread maker! My family is Swedish, and ever year we make this recipe just in time for Christmas. We always enjoy it especially on Christmas morning. We used to make a long, drawn out version that was my great-grandmother's recipe, but thanks to modern conveniences like the bread maker it takes much less time and work! I hope your family enjoys this as much as mine has.

VAL'S HONEY AND OAT BREAD ABM

Val's Honey and Oat Bread ABM image

This is a nice healthier bread for an automatic bread machine. This was a handwritten recipe so I don't have the details like what size loaf it makes, sorry! This recipe is very forgiving. I have used all all-purpose flour, pizza dough yeast, substituted applesauce for the oil... One packet of yeast is 2 1/4 tsp, just under 1 Tbl.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh honey, oats, and other ingredients will give your bread the best flavor and texture.
  • Measure your ingredients accurately: This is important for any baking recipe, but especially for bread. Too much or too little of an ingredient can throw off the balance of the dough.
  • Knead the dough until it is smooth and elastic: This will help to develop the gluten in the flour, which will give your bread a chewy texture.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place: This will allow the yeast to grow and produce carbon dioxide gas, which will cause the dough to rise.
  • Bake the bread at a high temperature: This will help to create a crispy crust and a fluffy interior.

Conclusion:

Honey and oat bread is a delicious and versatile bread that can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. With a few simple tips, you can make a perfect honey and oat bread that your family and friends will love.
