VENISON CHEESE DIP
This recipe comes from a Taste of Home cookbook. Neighbor gave me some ground venison, had to figure a way of using it. Very tasty dip. Good to munch on while watching a football game. I've listed it "as is," but would recommend a little less chili sauce and a little more garlic when you make it. My kids loved it as did I. BTW, I added a little hot sauce to my serving- very good!

This dip is wonderful. I put it in a slow cooker after it's done to keep it warm. Serve this with tortilla chips.

EASY BEEF NACHO CHEESE DIP
While it may not always look appetizing, this dip is always gone when we make it for parties or family events. Everyone asks for the recipe and can't believe how easy it is. Sometimes we substitute ground turkey for the ground beef and no one can tell the difference.

Steps:
- Brown ground beef and add taco seasoning as directed on packet. We usually use a little less water though.
- Chunk the Velveeta and add to crockpot.
- Pour in jar of salsa and add the prepared meat.
- Let melt together in the crockpot, stirring occasionally.
- At times, we have been in a hurry and used the microwave to help speed up the melting process for the Velveeta. Then just add the melted Velveeta to the other ingredients in the crockpot to keep warm and melty for dipping!
- We have also used Mexican style Velveeta and Pepper jack, and it was just as good. Feel free to experiment.
Tips:
- Use high-quality venison. The better the venison, the better the dip will taste. Look for venison that is lean and gamey.
- Cook the venison properly. Overcooked venison will be tough and dry. Cook it until it is just cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.
- Use a good quality cheese. The cheese is one of the most important ingredients in the dip, so don't skimp on it. Use a cheese that melts well and has a good flavor, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or cream cheese.
- Add some spices and herbs. Spices and herbs can help to enhance the flavor of the dip. Some good options include garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, chili powder, and cumin.
- Serve the dip with your favorite dippers. Some good options include tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetables.
Conclusion:
Venison cheese dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is also a great way to use up leftover venison. So next time you have some venison on hand, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
