FANTASTIC CRAB DIP

This recipe can be served hot or cold with a variety of different crackers or bread. It can be placed in a loaf of hollowed out sourdough bread; the bread can be used for dipping. Don't heat dip when in the bread; bread will become soggy. Heat the dip, and then fill bread.

  • Don't overcook the crab meat: Crab meat is very delicate and can easily be overcooked. Cook it just until it is heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Use a good quality cream cheese: The cream cheese is one of the main ingredients in crab dip, so it's important to use a good quality brand. Look for a cream cheese that is smooth and spreadable.
  • Add some flavorings: Crab dip is a versatile dish that can be flavored in many different ways. Some popular flavorings include lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, and cayenne pepper. You can also add herbs, such as chives or dill, to the dip.
  • Serve with your favorite crackers or vegetables: Crab dip is a great party food and can be served with a variety of crackers or vegetables. Some popular options include Ritz crackers, celery, and carrots.
