Tips:

  • Properly Prepare Your Waffle Iron: Before making waffles, preheat the waffle iron and lightly grease the cooking surfaces with non-stick spray or butter.
  • Be Careful Not to Overfill: When pouring the batter onto the waffle iron, avoid overfilling the cups. This prevents spillage and ensures even cooking.
  • Wait for the Steam to Subside: After pouring the batter, wait for the steam to subside before closing the waffle iron. This helps create a crispy exterior.
  • Use a Timer: To ensure evenly cooked waffles, set a timer according to your waffle iron's instructions or desired doneness.
  • Don't Open the Waffle Iron Too Early: Be patient and resist the urge to open the waffle iron too early. Opening it prematurely can result in undercooked waffles.
  • Use Quality Ingredients: Use fresh, high-quality ingredients for the best possible waffles. Good quality butter, eggs, flour, and red velvet cake mix make a difference.
  • Serve Them Warm:Waffles are best enjoyed warm and fresh out of the waffle iron. If you have leftovers, reheat them in a toaster or oven to restore their crispiness.
