Anise Biscotti image

This is my great grandmothers recipe and it seems to be a favorite of almost anyone who tastes them. I love dunking in espresso coffee...lol.

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 eggs
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c oil
1 Tbsp anise flavor or more if you like
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 c flour

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Blend eggs, sugar, oil, anise flavor and Baking Powder.
  • 2. Add flour 1/2 cup at a time.
  • 3. Dough will be very sticky, wet hands with warm water and shape into a log and place on greased cookie sheet. bake 25-30 minutes, you want to see a slight tan to the edge of log.
  • 4. Remove from oven and cool about 5 minutes. With a serrated knife cut on a diagonal, and place back on cookie sheet, bake 15-20 minutes turning once. Cool on rack.
