I adapted this recipe from Better Homes and Gardens, and it's the best I've ever had. Just enough crunch, just enough mayo. It's perfect! I like to serve this in pita pockets with a little lettuce.

Tips:

  • Choose the right tuna: Fresh tuna is best, but canned tuna is a good option if you're short on time. Look for tuna that is packed in water, not oil, and that is dolphin-safe.
  • Use a variety of ingredients: Don't just stick to the basics. Add some chopped celery, red onion, or hard-boiled eggs for a more flavorful salad.
  • Don't overmix the salad: Tuna salad is best when it is lightly mixed. Overmixing will make the tuna tough and dry.
  • Chill the salad before serving: This will help the flavors to meld and will make the salad more refreshing.
  • Serve the salad on a bed of lettuce: This will add some extra crunch and freshness to the dish.

Conclusion:

Tuna salad is a classic dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a versatile dish that can be served as a sandwich, on a salad, or as a dip.
