I then took what I'd learned from my first nasty try and the ideas I picked up online and after about 5 or 6 attempts I came up with this. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh lime juice and coconut cream. If you don't have fresh lime juice, you can use bottled lime juice, but be sure to use 100% lime juice and not lime juice concentrate.
  • If you don't have coconut cream, you can make your own by blending 1 cup of unsweetened shredded coconut with 1/2 cup of water until smooth. Then, strain the mixture through a cheesecloth-lined colander.
  • If you don't have Grand Marnier, you can substitute another orange liqueur, such as Cointreau or Triple Sec.
  • To make a virgin coconut margarita, omit the tequila and add an extra ounce of lime juice.
  • Serve your coconut margaritas with a lime wedge and a sprinkle of shredded coconut.

Conclusion:

Coconut margaritas are a delicious and refreshing cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. They are easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a tropical cocktail, give the coconut margarita a try.
