1 1/2 teaspoons whole milk ricotta cheese
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (more or less to taste)
1/3 teaspoon curry powder (more or less to taste)
1/3 teaspoon celery salt
1/3 teaspoon sugar
red grapes, cut into 8 ths (added ONLY right before serving!)
1 stalk celery, diced small
tortillas or pita bread

Steps:

  • Open your can of tuna and drain well.
  • Empty contents of can into a bowl, and add mayo and ricotta.
  • Shred your carrots into the bowl, and stir well.
  • Add all spices, and stir thoroughly.
  • Add celery and mix through.
  • Heat your tortilla in a heated skillet until warm and slightly crispy, OR toast your pita.
  • Add grapes to tuna mixture and stir lightly.
  • Spread desired amount of tuna on tortilla OR in pita, and serve!
  • I like to serve with some sliced pears on the side; it adds a nice touch!

Tips:

  • Use high-quality tuna: Opt for tuna that is packed in water or olive oil, and avoid tuna that is packed in oil or brine.
  • Choose the right bread: The best bread for tuna wraps is one that is sturdy enough to hold the filling without getting soggy. Some good options include whole wheat bread, pita bread, or tortillas.
  • Add your favorite fillings: In addition to tuna, you can add a variety of other fillings to your wraps, such as vegetables, cheese, and sauces. Some popular options include lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, avocado, and cheese.
  • Don't overstuff the wraps: When assembling your wraps, be careful not to overstuff them, or they will be difficult to eat. Aim for a wrap that is about 1-inch thick.
  • Wrap them tightly: Once you have assembled your wraps, wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. This will help to keep them fresh and prevent the filling from falling out.

Conclusion:

Tuna wraps are a quick, easy, and delicious meal that can be enjoyed for lunch or dinner. They are also a great way to use up leftover tuna.
