This is a simple but flavorful pasta with just a hint of cream in the tomato-based sauce. It's great for those nights when you're pressed for time.

6 slices bacon, diced
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes
1 lb bow tie pasta
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon dried parsley
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar

  • Meanwhile, cook bowtie pasta according to package directions; drain. Stir cream and parsley into tomato mixture; heat through (do not boil or mixture may curdle).

This dish was a bit too salty for my taste. I would use less bacon next time.

The sauce was a bit too thick for my taste. I added a little milk to thin it out.

This recipe was a bit bland for my taste. I added some extra garlic and red pepper flakes to give it a little more flavor.

I'm not a huge fan of bacon, but this dish was still really good. The sauce was delicious and the bow ties were cooked perfectly.
