This ginger-lime cider is a traditional Brazilian drink. Wonderfully warm and surprisingly sweet and spicy, Quentao is a fabulous holiday alternative to mulled wine or spiked cider.

¾ cup cubed fresh ginger root
2 limes, sliced
4 cinnamon sticks, broken in half

This Quentao is a great way to use up leftover oranges. I had a few oranges that were about to go bad, so I decided to make this recipe. It turned out great!

I followed the recipe exactly but my Quentao turned out too watery. I think I might have added too much water. Next time I will be more careful with the measurements.

This Quentao is a bit too sweet for my taste. I would recommend using less sugar or honey.

I was a bit hesitant to try this recipe because I'm not a big fan of cachaça. But I was pleasantly surprised! The cachaça flavor was very subtle and the drink was still very enjoyable. I would definitely make this again.
