Broiled Egg Salad Sandwiches image

One of my mother's friends gave her this recipe in the late '40s. I grew up eating these sandwiches, and they've been a staple with my own family. Although our children have left home, I still make this dish often for my husband and me to enjoy. -Barbara Suetholz, Racine, Wisconsin

I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise, so I used Greek yogurt instead. The sandwiches were still really good.

I'm allergic to eggs, so I couldn't try these sandwiches. But they looked delicious!

I thought these sandwiches were bland. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make them taste better.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my sandwiches didn't turn out as good as the picture. The eggs were overcooked and the salad was dry.

I'm not usually a fan of egg salad, but these sandwiches were surprisingly good. The broiling of the eggs added a nice smoky flavor.
