BUTTERY,CINNAMON,SKILLET APPLES on DEVILS FOOD image

Skillet Cinnamon Apples on a Devils Food cake topped with whipped cream!...YUM! Actually any unfrosted cake or vanilla pound cake will work. I had the apples and a boxed cake, so I decided to make a desert for a friend, that had to put down her doggie. She loves chocolate, and I am sure this recipe will make her feel a wee bit...

Overall, I thought this dish was good, but not great. I might try making it again with some different ingredients.

The apples were a little mushy for my liking, but the chocolate cake was delicious.

This dish was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I think that's just a personal preference. I might try reducing the amount of sugar next time.

I was a little skeptical about the combination of apples and chocolate, but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors worked really well together.

The apples were perfectly tender and the cinnamon flavor was spot-on. The chocolate cake was moist and fluffy, and the two flavors complemented each other perfectly.

These skillet apples were a hit with my family! The combination of sweet, gooey apples and rich, decadent chocolate was irresistible. I will definitely be making this dish again.
