Carol Sullys Toll House Cookies image

My best friend Carol has been making these for years and I had to post the recipe as I made them today and yummmy they are!

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pkg toll house med size morsels (large)
1 stick crisco
1 tsp water
2 1/4 c flour sifted
2 1/4 c sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 c brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp salt (i use low sodium)

Steps:

  • 1. Follow the directions on the package of Toll House Morels except replace butter with 1 cup Crisco or 1 stick. Make sure you sift the flour, salt and baking soda.
  • 2. Add a little at a time of the flour mixture to the creamed crisco and sugar, add vanilla extract and eggs. Beat with hand mixer. Use spatula to make sure sides are mixed too. (don't eat all the raw batter!)
  • 3. Place a teaspoon size balls on parchment paper 2" apart on cookie sheet and use your finger to press down slightly in the middle. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 min. After 5 min turn cookie sheet around in oven. Remove, let sit for 5 min and then cool on wire rack and enjoy!
