Cherry Honey Relish image

Number Of Ingredients 10

20 oz cherries, pitted and canned with juice
1/2 c raisins
1/2 c honey
1/4 c cider vinegar
1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp cinnamon, ground
1/8 tsp cloves, ground
1/2 c pecans, chopped
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp cold water

Steps:

  • 1. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine all the ingredients through the clove listing.
  • 2. Cook slowly, uncovered, for 30 minutes; Stir in the pecans.
  • 3. Combine the cornstarch and cold water, blending well, and gradually stir into the cherry mixture.
  • 4. Cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.
