Chess pie image

Well I love this recipe because my mom start making this for me when I was a kid. Then I started making it for my kids and now my son makes it for me in hopes one day he can make it for his family.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c sugar
1 Tbsp cornmeal
1 Tbsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla extract or lemon
3 eggs
1 stick butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Take all ingedients and put them in a bowl. Mix together well. Then pour in a regular or thin pieshell and place in the oven on 350 degrees and just watch.
  • 2. Let cook for about thirty to forty-five minutes. Check if its done by sticking a toothpick in the middle and pulling it out and if toothpick come out clean its done. sit on stove and let cool off and then ready to eat.
