This is a good dish to prepare for a cool evening. Some people add a small can of mushrooms, but I like it without. I never heard of mushrooms in a chili pie before.

I've also made this casserole with ground turkey instead of beef. It's a great way to lighten up the dish.

I like to add a layer of cheese to this casserole before I top it with the cornbread. It makes it even more delicious.

I would not recommend this recipe to anyone. It was a waste of time and money.

This casserole was a complete disaster. The cornbread topping didn't cook through and the chili was way too salty.

I was disappointed with this casserole. The cornbread topping was too dry and the chili was bland.

I thought this casserole was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.

This casserole was a little too spicy for my taste, but I still enjoyed it. I'll probably tone down the spice next time I make it.

I'm not a huge fan of chili, but I really enjoyed this casserole. The cornbread topping was the perfect touch.
