Cinnamon Toast Crunch Apple Crisp image

My daughter Paige and I were wondering what to do with slightly stale cereal. Instead of the same ole topping we used her cereal.

Number Of Ingredients 9

7-8 baking apples peeled and cut-up into small pieces
2 Tbsp lemon juice over apples for non-browning
1/4 c light brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/3 c flour
1/3 c sugar
1 1/2 c broken up cinnamon toast crunch cereal
4 Tbsp butter, cut-up in small pieces

Steps:

  • 1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Butter 9 inch glass dish. Place in chopped apples. Mix all above ingredients except butter. Spread over apples. Place small pieces of butter over the cereal coating. Bake for 30-45 min. depending on your oven until topping is crunchy. Cool or serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
