3 eggs
1 cup margarine
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking power
1 tsp allspice
1/2 cup chocolate bits
2 cups sugar
1/2 cups water
2 Tbsp cocoa
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup finely chopped nuts
1 tsp vanilla
2 apples, cored and grated or finely chopped (2 cups)

Steps:

Beat together eggs, sugar, margarine and water until fluffy. Sift together flour, cocoa, cinnamon and allspice. Add to creamed mixture and mix well. Fold in chocolate bits, nuts, apples and vanilla until evenly distributed. Spoon into greased and floured loose bottom 10-inch cake pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 60-70 minutes or until cake tests done.

This cake did not turn out well for me. It was dry and crumbly.

This is a great recipe! The cake is moist and flavorful. I will definitely make it again.
