Congo Bars image

This was one of me and my sisters favorite treat that my mom would make for us. Now we make them for our kids.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 lb light brown sugar
3 eggs
1 c vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
2 1/2 c flour
1 bag(s) chocolate chips
1/2 c nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients
  • 2. Mix well
  • 3. put into a 9x13 greased glass pan bake at 350 F
