Creole Chicken Soup image

Just put this in the slow cooker in the morning and get a whiff of heaven when you come in the door in the evening! I cook it on high heat for one hour while the family gets ready for school and work, then turn it to low before we leave for the day. This is great served with corn muffins or over rice. Lots of ingredients but, except for the okra, they are all things that most cooks have on the shelf, or in the freezer or fridge. From the folks at Rodale Press's book "Your Family Will Love It." (Mine sure does!)

I didn't like this soup at all. The flavor was strange and it was too thick.

Overall, I thought this soup was just okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either.

The soup was a little bland for my taste. I think I'll add some more spices next time.

Not bad! Good Creole flavor but I think next time I'll add some extra vegetables.

I've tried many chicken soup recipes, but this one is by far the best. The addition of okra and tomatoes gives it a unique flavor that I've never tasted before.

This Creole chicken soup was an absolute delight! The flavors were incredibly rich and complex, with a perfect balance of spices. It was easy to make and the aroma filled my entire house. My family loved it and I will definitely be making it again.
