Crescent Dogs image

We usually eat these more for lunch than as an appetizer.

Number Of Ingredients 3

4 hot dogs (cut in half to make 8 short dogs)
4 slice american cheese (each cut into quarters & then small strips)
1 can(s) 8 oz. refrigerated crescent dinner rolls

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 375 F. Slit hot dogs to within 1/2 inch of ends; insert strips of cheese into each slit.
  • 2. Separate dough into triangles. Wrap dough triangle around each hot dog. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, cheese side up.
  • 3. Bake at 375 F for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

These crescent dogs are so easy to make and they're always a crowd-pleaser. I love that I can use any type of hot dog or sausage that I want. I've even made them with veggie dogs for my vegetarian friends.
