I found this originally on About.com Southern Cooking. It's so simple to throw together in the morning. It's now a family favourite. Serving size depends on amount put on roll.

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 1/2 cups tomato ketchup
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • You can keep the crock pot on low to keep the chicken warm for serving on hard rolls.

I've tried this recipe with both boneless and bone-in chicken breasts and both turned out great. The bone-in chicken was a bit more flavorful, but the boneless chicken was easier to eat.

The sauce is a bit too sweet for my taste, but it's easily remedied by adding a bit of cayenne pepper.

This recipe is a great base for creating your own variations. One time I added a can of diced tomatoes and a chopped bell pepper, and it turned out amazing!

I've tried numerous crock pot BBQ chicken recipes, and this one is by far the best. The addition of brown sugar and molasses gives the chicken a wonderfully rich and caramelized flavor.
