Crockpot Caramel Apples image

For fun have the kids help. you can add peanuts, sprinkles, M&M's raisins, candy corn. use your imagination just have fun.

Number Of Ingredients 3

2 pkg caramels, 14 ounces each
1/4 c water
8 apples

Steps:

  • 1. In crockpot, combine caramels and water.
  • 2. Cover and cook on high for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring frequently.
  • 3. Wash and dry apples.
  • 4. Insert stick into stem end of each apple.
  • 5. Turn control on low.
  • 6. Dip apple into hot caramel and turn to coat entire surface.
  • 7. Holding apple above pot, scrape off excess accumulation of caramel from bottom apple.
  • 8. Place on greased wax paper to cool.
