Cuban Picadillo image

This is a traditional dish in Cuba.

Number Of Ingredients 15

3 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
2 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 pkg sazón goya
1 can(s) tomato sauce (8 oz)
1 can(s) tomato paste, (6 oz)
1/4 c dry white wine
4 Tbsp pimento stuffed green olives
2 Tbsp raisens
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp oregano

Steps:

  • 1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Saute the onion, green pepper and garlic until the onion is transluscent.
  • 2. Add the ground beef and brown over medium heat.
  • 3. Add the rest of the ingredients and continue cooking until meat is tender and completely cooked through. About 25 minutes.
  • 4. Serve over white rice with plantains.
