2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup buttermilk

Steps:

  • Mix flour, salt, baking soda,and baking powder together.
  • Cut in shortening.
  • Add buttermilk.
  • Stir together thoroughly and drop by spoonfuls in greased pan about 1/2" apart.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes @ 425°F.
