Frozen Cranberry--Banana Salad image

This recipe was given to me by a friend. It is very good and yummy.Try it and you might like it also. Makes a festive dish during the holidays.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can(s) pineapple tidbits, drained {20 ounces}
5 large firm bananas,halved length-wise, sliced
1 can(s) whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/2 c sugar
1====20 oz whipped topping, thawed
1/2 c chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. Drain pineapple juice into a medium bowl; set pineapple aside. Add bananas to juice. In a large bowl, combine cranberry sauce and sugar. Remove bananas, discarding juice, and add to cranberry mixture. Stir in pineapple, whipped topping and nuts.Pour into a 13x9 pan. Freeze until solid. About 3 hours. Remove from the freezer 15 minutes before serving.
