This very flavorful soup is so good on a cold night served with hot French bread or homemade bread. I found it in a Better Homes and Gardens cookbook, published in 1981.

I wasn't a big fan of this soup. I found it to be too bland and the sausage was a bit dry.

The chowder was a bit too salty for my taste, but otherwise it was very good. I would recommend using less salt next time.
