1 cup milk (sour)
1 3/4 teaspoons baking soda
1 cup molasses
2 1/4 cups flour
2 tablespoons butter
2 teaspoons ginger
1 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Mix soda with sour milk and add to molasses.
  • Sift together flour, ginger and salt.
  • Combine the two mixtures.
  • Add butter.
  • Bake in greased pan in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.
